My husband and 22 yo son found Soylent last December. My husband began dropping pounds despite going out to lunch with our 22 yo son nearly every day. If you had a son as cool as him, you'd want to go out to lunch with him every day too. His nickname is Mr. Awesome.Since last December, I have tried Soylent about a dozen times. It's good. If I have it for a whole meal, then I crave it for the next.
But now, in April, I'm finally ready to give it a really good try.
The plan:
Soylent, my own custom mix that my husband has put together, for all 3 meals, but only 1,200 calories.
The reason why? There are a few foods I need to eat during the day that I won't give up:
An egg for breakfast (I have bad-low cholesterol, and a real egg helps.)
A salad for lunch. I have leaky gut and lettuce is my antidote.
An apple in the afternoon, crunch-yum.
Tea & creamer before bed
That should bring it up to 1,500-1,800, plenty. I'll write about it. If you're also Celiac, you might be interested to see how it goes.
